Global Languages Hawai'i

Language Academy

At Global Languages Hawai‘i, we believe language learning is a skill and an essential cornerstone of authentic global education. Our program offers comprehensive language training through classroom instruction, cultural immersion, arts integration, and play-based learning. We also provide consultation services, proficiency testing, and tailored programs for learners ranging from preschoolers to experienced professionals.
In today’s interconnected world, proficiency in multiple languages is no longer optional — it’s vital. As global economies, governments, and organizations forge deeper international connections, the need for culturally aware, linguistically capable individuals continues to rise. Learning a new language enriches one’s worldview, fosters empathy, and prepares individuals to thrive in an increasingly diverse and interdependent global community.
Our Story
Founded in 1998 by Profesora Quiroga-Verhaaf, a longtime Hawai‘i resident and advocate for language education, Global Languages Hawai‘i was born from a vision to raise educational standards while providing personalized, meaningful instruction. The heart of our philosophy is reflected in our guiding belief:
"Learning a new language is a sign of courage, bravery, respect, diligence, kindness, patience, humility, and endurance." — Profesora Quiroga-Verhaaf
Today, we remain committed to cultivating globally cultured, diversity-sensitive learners who are prepared to lead and contribute in this new era of globalization.
