Building upon ‘Ōlelo I, this course further develops foundational language skills in speaking, listening, comprehension, reading, writing, and cultural understanding. The Emphasis in ‘Ōlelo II is on improving phonetics in speaking and writing skills. Students will continue exploring how the Hawaiian language enhances their understanding of culture through storytelling, place names, and historical events, deepening their appreciation for language learning and Hawaiian cultural traditions.

¡Explora y Conecta! Spanish Language & Culture!
This dynamic course invites students in grades 5–8 to dive deeper into the richness of the Spanish-speaking world. Through interactive, hands-on experiences, students will develop their Spanish language skills while exploring the diverse cultures of Spain, Latin America, and parts of Africa.
Each class integrates engaging language lessons with art, music, dance, games, and culinary traditions. Students will practice conversation, vocabulary, and basic grammar through meaningful cultural projects — from creating traditional crafts to learning popular songs and celebrating regional festivals.
This course strengthens students' Spanish listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while building cultural awareness and fostering global citizenship in a supportive, fun, and immersive environment.
* Students in this course have the option to attend twice a week, choosing between Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays. We also offer a Saturday school option for those who prefer a once-a-week format.
